2.1 Chinese for Communication
Course Summary:
The Chinese for Communication (CC Program) is designed to develop students’ practical Chinese language skills for daily communication, academic purposes, and future professional use. The program emphasizes spoken Chinese through structured conversation books while gradually strengthening listening, reading, and basic writing skills. With progressive levels, learners build a strong foundation in Mandarin pronunciation, vocabulary, and sentence structures in a supportive learning environment.
Goal:
The goal of the CC Program is to help students communicate confidently in Mandarin Chinese, develop accurate pronunciation, and use everyday Chinese expressions effectively. The program also prepares learners to transition smoothly into formal Chinese proficiency studies such as HSK.
2.2 Chinese Proficiency Program
Course Summary:
The Chinese Proficiency Program focuses on preparing students for the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK), the internationally recognized Chinese language proficiency test. The curriculum integrates HSK textbooks with conversation practice to ensure balanced development of listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills.
