1. Introduction
Cambodia–ASEAN Educational Development Association (CAEDA) offers a stimulating, interesting, and enriching series of programs designed to enhance students’ English proficiency and related skills. Recognizing the importance of English for academic success and global engagement, CAEDA provides a variety of programs catering to different skill levels and professional goals. This proposal outlines six major programs aimed at developing communicative competence, academic proficiency, media literacy, leadership, and project-based learning skills.
2. Programs Overview
2.1 English for Communication (EC Program)
Course Summary:
The EC Program is designed to strengthen students’ English proficiency, enabling them to confidently engage with academic subjects where English is the primary medium of instruction. The program provides a structured, supportive, and academically focused learning environment with six progressive levels to build strong foundations and continuously advance students’ communication and academic language skills.
Goal:
To help students become proficient and confident English users, capable of understanding and producing academic content, enhancing writing, vocabulary, and reading comprehension, and preparing for future college-level studies.
2.2 International English Proficiency Program (IEPP)
Course Summary:
The IEPP develops advanced English skills meeting global academic and professional standards. The program includes intensive coursework, interactive modules, and practical problem-solving tasks, emphasizing linguistic accuracy, cultural awareness, and critical thinking.
Goal:
To equip students with advanced English proficiency for global engagement, academic success, and international career opportunities. Students will learn to communicate fluently, understand complex texts, produce structured writing, and participate in high-level discussions.
2.3 Media Skill Development Program
Course Summary:
This program provides comprehensive training in modern media, including journalism, digital content creation, photography, videography, and editing. Through hands-on projects and collaborative assignments, students develop technical, creative, and professional media skills.
Goal:
To equip students with creative, technical, and ethical competencies for the media industry, fostering confident communicators, skilled content producers, and critical thinkers.
2.4 Cross-Cultural Skills Development and Leadership Program
Course Summary:
This program cultivates cultural awareness, global understanding, and leadership skills. Students engage in workshops, cultural immersion activities, and guided leadership sessions to develop interpersonal and intercultural competencies.
Goal:
To prepare students to become culturally sensitive, adaptive, and inclusive leaders, developing skills in intercultural communication, conflict resolution, teamwork, and ethical decision-making.
2.5 Project-Based Learning (PBL) Program
Course Summary:
The PBL Program connects theoretical knowledge with practical application through hands-on projects. Students collaborate on meaningful tasks that reflect real-world challenges, fostering experiential learning and problem-solving.
Goal:
To cultivate critical thinking, teamwork, creative leadership, and the ability to apply academic knowledge to real-life situations, preparing students for careers, entrepreneurship, and leadership roles.
Schedule / Duration:
• Daily: 1 hour per day, 5 days a week
• Length: 6 months per level
• Weekday Classes: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–12:00 PM or 5:00 PM–6:00 PM
